About us
Since 2003, while pursuing their graduate studies in composition in Rochester, New York, Michaela Eremiášová and Jairo Duarte-López co-composed music for various productions such as the score for the short films Car Crash Opera by renowned artist/animator Skip Battaglia and Currents by recognized experimental film maker Stephanie Maxwell. They also composed and produced the orchestral theme for the Toronto Blue Jays with a 55-piece orchestra and scored three productions for Discovery Channel Latin America, including the documentaries NarcoSubmarinos and Operación Sodoma: La caída del Mono Jojoy.
In 2011, their work was featured during the Kurt Weill Festival at the Sony Center in Berlin, Germany, where they presented over one hour of original compositions for silent films from the 1910’s to 1930’s by Moholy-Nagy, Walter Ruttmann, and Lotte Reiniger. Most recently Duarte-López and Eremiášová were selected by the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University to compose a new operatic work for 2012. From 2008 to 2011, they served as co-instructors of Film Scoring for the Department of Jazz Studies and Contemporary Media at the Eastman School of Music and at the Eastman Community Music School in Rochester, New York.
Duarte-López and Eremiášová’s goal is to bring to any project the best of their abilities and experience in composition and music production.
Currently they are based in Los Angeles, California.
